Shower-to-Tub Conversion in Inverness: A Tub That Fits Your Home

Maybe your Inverness home has a shower where you would much rather have a tub. A tub gives small children a place for bath time and gives you a place to soak. Turning the shower into a tub changes the wet area only, so the rest of your bathroom is not part of the job.

Inverness sits on the western shore of the Tsala Apopka and Henderson lakes, and whether you live in Inverness Heights or near Courthouse Square downtown, the job follows the same plan. The shower comes out. A Jacuzzi® bathtub goes into that space, and a new wall surround goes up in the style you pick. You choose an alcove tub or a deep-soaking tub, the wall color and pattern, and the fixture finish. Grab bars, built-in seating and a slip-resistant surface are options. One Inverness bathtub replacement from 2024 has Alabaster walls in a random stone pattern and Brushed Nickel fixtures. Every tub is quoted in the home, because no two bathrooms are the same.

The median age in Inverness is 55.3. Whatever your own age, the questions that matter most are about your bathroom. How big is the shower space now? Is it the only shower in the house? Who will step into the new tub, and would grab bars, a built-in seat or a slip-resistant surface make that easier? If stepping over a tub wall is hard for someone at home, say so early. The permit question, and whether the change is a good idea, have their own answers below.

Cost has a page of its own below. The outline is this: the size and layout of your space, the tub you pick, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and any extras like a seat or shelves set the price. The free quote covers both the product and the installation, and financing is offered. With only the wet area replaced, it is a much smaller job than a full remodel.

You start by calling to set up a design visit, and all homeowners are asked to be at it. At that visit the designer listens, puts together a custom plan with options and a free quote, and you choose the tub, colors and safety features. When you are ready, an installer from Love Your Bath comes to do the work. Dave T. wrote that the installer "kept the house clean by putting drop cloths down in the areas he walked in."

Then the day comes when you run the first bath. The tub sits where the shower was, framed by the walls you picked. Small children can splash, you can soak at the end of a long day, and the bathroom works for the way you live now.
