Before you remodel the bathroom, know the mistakes to skip
Plain advice on what goes wrong and how to dodge it, for bathroom remodeling in New Smyrna Beach, FL.
You have seen the after photos online, and you have also heard about the jobs that never seemed to end. If the tub or shower in your New Smyrna Beach home is due, you want the first kind of story, not the second. A little planning up front helps a lot.
The usual mistakes are easy to spot once you know them. Tearing out the whole bathroom when only the tub or shower is the problem. Handing parts of the job to different trades who end up blaming each other. Picking a product with no real warranty because it looked fine in the store. Each one adds risk you never needed to take.
A tighter job avoids most of that. The work stays in the wet area, and the floor and vanity are left as they are. Every shower and tub is quoted in the home, since each bathroom is different. Your price rests on the space and your choices: its size and layout, a shower or a tub, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, plus any seat, shelves or grab bars.
This week, write down the one thing you want fixed and the one thing you want to keep. Then call Love Your Bath and set a time when all homeowners can be there. The designer hears you out and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. Ask exactly when the warranty starts. Do not let anyone talk you into tearing out more than you need.
At the end, the crew goes over every detail and activates the lifetime warranty on the spot. Helene S. said her installer "explained what he was doing and he cleaned up after." Your shower might look like a 2025 New Smyrna Beach job, smooth Champagne walls with Brushed Nickel fixtures.
