Afraid you will regret taking out the tub? Start with who bathes
For Palm Bay, FL homeowners on the fence about a tub-to-shower conversion and what it means down the road.
You like the idea of walking straight into a shower, but the tub has been there a long time. What if a buyer wants one, or the grandkids need a bath when they visit your Palm Bay home? It helps to look at the question from the side of the people who use the room every day.
A tub that nobody soaks in is mostly a wall between you and the water. The worry about resale or regret is real, but it is easier to answer than it feels. Start by thinking about who uses this bathroom today and over the next few years. A tub-to-shower conversion puts a low-threshold Jacuzzi® shower where the tub was, so you step in rather than climb.
The change is limited to the tub space. Out comes the tub, and in go a shower base, a wall system and fixtures. What it costs depends on the size and layout of the space and on your picks for the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and any seat, shelves or grab bars. Every bathroom is quoted in person, since each one is a little different, and the quote covers the product and the installation.
Go room by room in your Palm Bay house and count the tubs. With a second one elsewhere, converting this bathroom is rarely a problem. If this is your only tub and small children are part of the household, give that more weight. Then have Love Your Bath come out for a free design visit. A designer will hear you out and put together a custom plan with options and a free quote, so you can think it over with real choices in front of you.
The result is a shower that matches your life now. Barbara B. wrote, "We are very happy with our tub to shower conversion." A lifetime warranty comes with it and covers you for as long as the home is yours. And the choice you made was based on the people who use the room, not on a guess about someone else.
What people in Palm Bay say
"From my initial conversation at Costco to our sales rep visit with Mike and finally with our installer, Jodeci, we had a wonderful experience. We had a bathtub to shower remodeling done. All of them were courteous, professional and most importantly, honest. Jodeci, came in and did his work. While here, he kept the bathroom area clean by using fans, open windows and keeping doors shut. He kept us in the loop as to what he was doing along the way. By the time he finished, the new shower was exactly as promised. Thank you Jodeci for a job well done. I would recommend this company for any future remodels."
"Alec and Tyler came to install my new shower. They did an amazing job with the installation. I truly appreciated them cleaning up after the job was completed. Well done guys"
"Had an install awhile ago, and I'll just leave it at that.. well we had to have them come back to fix a HUGE mess up.. ANGELA had come out and was on time,, very professional, knew what she was doing, did the job as if it was her own home. Un like the original installers. She was super all the way around. Wish we would have had her do the original install as it would have been right the first time for sure. In a so called man's world for this type of work, she could run circles around some of the guys. She even cleaned up and didn't leave a mess"
