Tub-to-Shower Conversion in Sebring: An Easier Way In

Stepping over the tub has gone from routine to something you think about first. Maybe it is you, or maybe it is a parent who lives with you in Sebring. A walk-in shower in that same space could take the worry out of the day, and this page shows what that change involves.

Here is what the job looks like in Sebring. The tub is removed, and a low-threshold Jacuzzi® shower goes into the same space, so you step in instead of climbing over a wall. The work stays in the wet area. You pick the wall type and color, the base type and color, and the fixture colors, plus any grab bars, built-in seat or shelves. Every shower is custom, and custom pans are made when the existing shape fits. We have replaced two showers and one bathtub in Sebring. One of those showers, from 2023, has Sandstorm walls in a random stone pattern, Oil Rubbed Bronze fixtures and an open entry with no door.

Sebring is known as the City on the Circle, after Circle Drive in its historic downtown. It was founded in 1912 and is centered around Lake Jackson. Each year, Sebring International Raceway hosts the 12 Hours of Sebring. West of town, Highlands Hammock State Park has boardwalks through an old cypress swamp. That is the town. Your bathroom is its own story. So look closely at your space: how the step over the tub feels, where a grab bar would help, and whether you would use a seat.

There is no one price, since every shower and tub is quoted in the home. What you pay depends on the size and layout of the space, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. Your free quote rolls the product and the installation into one. Cost, permits and whether a shower is right for you are each covered in the questions below.

Step one is a call, and phones are answered 24 hours a day. Next comes a design visit with all homeowners there, where a Love Your Bath designer listens to what you want and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. Then you pick your colors, finishes and safety features. The last step is the install itself. Tarlene D. wrote, "From the initial visit with Jose thru installation the service was A1."

Once it is in, the bathroom stops being the room you dread. You walk in, the seat and grab bar are right where you want them, and the tub wall is simply gone. Getting clean goes back to being no big deal, for you or for the parent you were worried about.
