Is it time to pull out the tub and put in a walk-in shower?
Tub-to-walk-in-shower conversions in Wesley Chapel, FL: the work, the choices and what sets the price.
The tub is in the way. You shower in it, step over it, and rarely soak. In Wesley Chapel, whether you live off State Road 54 or State Road 56, you are probably wondering how much of a project it is to swap that tub for a shower you can walk into, and how the cost is worked out.
This swap is a tub-to-shower conversion. The tub is taken out, and a Jacuzzi® shower base and wall system are set in the same space. The base can be low or barrier-free, so you step in rather than lift a leg over a wall. A built-in seat and grab bars can go in too, wherever you want them. Linda P. wrote that the "tub to walk in shower they installed are beautiful."
Only the tub area is worked on. The floor, the vanity and the rest of the room are not part of the job. The price depends on the size and layout of the tub space, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. You get a free quote at home that covers the product and the install, since no two bathrooms are the same.
This week, think through who uses the tub and how. Would a seat help? A bar by the entry? A door, or a curtain? Then call Love Your Bath, and ask for a design visit at your Wesley Chapel home. At that visit, a designer listens to what you want and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. All homeowners are asked to take part in that visit. Ask every question you have before you sign anything, and keep notes from the visit.
Once it is in, the tub is gone and so is the climb. You walk in, and the bar is where your hand goes. Wesley Chapel has three shower replacements done already, and one from 2025 has smooth Crystal Frost walls and Matte Black fixtures. chance H. summed up a finished job this way: "Every detail was exactly as promised."
What people in Wesley Chapel say
"Max and *** our installers did a great job. The shower and tub to walk in shower they installed are beautiful and we are so happy with their professionalism. We will recommend them to everyone."
"From my initial conversation at Costco to our sales rep visit with Mike and finally with our installer, Jodeci, we had a wonderful experience. We had a bathtub to shower remodeling done. All of them were courteous, professional and most importantly, honest. Jodeci, came in and did his work. While here, he kept the bathroom area clean by using fans, open windows and keeping doors shut. He kept us in the loop as to what he was doing along the way. By the time he finished, the new shower was exactly as promised. Thank you Jodeci for a job well done. I would recommend this company for any future remodels."
"Exceptional work! I’m completely satisfied and would highly recommend them. Every detail was exactly as promised. Job well done!"
Other things people in Wesley Chapel ask
alternative to a walk-in tub for the elderly
The most common alternatives are a walk-in shower with a low or barrier-free entry, a tub-to-shower conversion, and adding a built-in seat and grab bars. Each one removes the climb over the tub wall. A designer can show you all of them side by side at home and quote the one that fits.
least expensive way to replace a shower
The lowest-cost way to get a real new shower is to replace just the shower: a new base and wall system installed over a cleaned-out space, with no full gut. That is what we do with Jacuzzi® shower systems, and most jobs take as little as one day.
