How much does it cost to turn your tub into a shower?
Straight talk on what sets the price of a tub-to-shower conversion in Altamonte Springs, FL.
You are tired of stepping over the tub wall, and a walk-in shower sounds right. Before you invite anyone into your Altamonte Springs home, you want a feel for whether the project fits your budget. That is a fair thing to want, and the honest answer starts with the choices you make.
A tub-to-shower conversion means the old tub comes out and a low-threshold Jacuzzi® shower goes in where it stood. Getting in becomes a step, not a climb over a tub wall. A single price is hard to find online because no two bathrooms are the same. Your tub space has its own size and layout, and your picks for walls, base and fixtures shape the job. That is why every shower is quoted in the home.
The price depends on a short list of things. There is the size and layout of your tub space. There is the shower base you choose, plus the wall style and finish. There is the fixture finish. Then there are extras like a built-in seat, shelves or grab bars. The work stays in the wet area, the tub space itself, and the free quote covers both the product and the installation.
This week, jot down what bothers you about the tub now and what you would want in a shower. Note who uses the bathroom and whether a seat or grab bars would help them. Then set up a free design visit with Love Your Bath. A designer listens to what you want and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. All homeowners are asked to be there. If spreading out the cost would help, ask about financing at the visit.
Once the quote is in hand, you know the real number for your own bathroom, not a guess from a website. Preston wrote in a review, "They really take the time to listen to find out exactly what I was looking for." With that number and a plan in front of you, you can decide what is right for your home in Altamonte Springs.

is it a good idea to convert a tub to a shower
Think about who uses the bathroom today and in the next few years. A walk-in shower is easier and safer to step into. A tub matters more to families with small children. If the home has another tub, converting one is rarely a problem. Our designer will talk it through with you before you decide.
do i need a permit to change a tub to a shower
