Tub-to-Shower Conversion in Altamonte Springs: What to Expect
How a tub becomes a walk-in shower, what shapes the price and how the work goes, for Altamonte Springs, FL.
If you live in Altamonte Springs and the tub wall has started to feel like a hurdle, you are in the right place. Maybe it is your own knees, or a parent who stays over and grips the towel bar to climb out. Turning that tub into a shower you can step into is what this page is about.
Most homes in Altamonte Springs are multifamily, about 12,553 units against 8,462 single-family homes. Whether you live in one of those units or in a single-family house, the job looks the same. The tub comes out. A low-threshold Jacuzzi® shower goes in where it stood. You pick the wall type and color, the base and its color, and the fixture finish. Showers can be barrier-free, or set on a very low-profile custom pan when the existing shape fits. The work covers the wet area, the tub or shower, and nothing else in the room.
Altamonte Springs, in Seminole County, sits about 10 miles from Orlando, with I-4 and SR 436 running through the middle of the city. Summers here are hot and humid, and winters are mild. None of that changes how your shower is built. What matters more is your own bathroom. Before anyone visits, take a look at the tub space. Think about who in the home will use the shower most, and whether a seat or a grab bar would help them. We have replaced two showers and one bathtub in Altamonte Springs.
There is no one price, because no two bathrooms are the same, and every shower is quoted in the home. The price depends on the size and layout of the tub space, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. The free quote covers the product and the installation together. Installs take in as little as one day, and some installs take a second day, rarely. The cost question below goes deeper.
First, you call and set up a free design visit. Every homeowner is asked to be at that visit. A Love Your Bath designer comes to your home, listens to what you want, and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. You pick the colors, finishes and safety features. On install day, the crew removes the old tub and sets the new shower in its place. Heather G. wrote that "the cleanliness during installation was impeccable." When the work is done, the crew goes over every detail with you.
When it is finished, the tub wall is gone. Getting into the shower is a step, not a climb. The grout-free walls help reduce mold and mildew buildup, and the colors and finishes are the ones you picked. Your bathroom in Altamonte Springs works for you again, today and in the years ahead.

What people in Altamonte Springs say
"Had a Garden Tub to Walk in shower conversion . Tristan was the installer. He did this 2 day job by himself . I was very impressed with his skills during demo and install in a 3rd floor condo incased in concrete. He had to break out the jack hammer to complete the drain. Once completed the Shower is awesome. Thank you Paul G"
"Jode C came to my house prepared and on time. His scope of work was exactly what I had expected. He went above and beyond to complete the job. With a hiccup or 2 he never shy’d away. He definitely knows what he is doing. He was very respectful when speaking to him and left the place just as he found it clean! Little pricey for just a shower but I’m happy with the completed job! Thank you for the fine job you did and going above and beyond to complete the project"
