Walk-In Showers in Brandon: Step In Instead of Climbing

You may have showered in the same Brandon tub for years, and lately the step over the side feels higher than it used to. Maybe a parent who lives near Paul Sanders Park needs help with that same step. You want a shower you can walk into, put in right, without turning the whole bathroom into a project.

Picture the corner where your tub sits now. With a walk-in shower, the tub or old shower comes out and a Jacuzzi® shower base and wall system goes into that same space. The way in is low or barrier-free, and you choose where a seat and grab bars go. In Brandon, we have replaced two showers and installed one walk-in tub, all in 2025. One shower has Alabaster walls in a herringbone pattern, Matte Black fixtures and a Platinum Gray base. Another pairs smooth Alabaster walls with Brushed Nickel fixtures and an exposed roller door. Floors and vanities stay out of it.

Brandon, in Hillsborough County, is an unincorporated community rather than a city. It sits about 11 miles from Tampa, and it grew into a large suburb after I-75 reached it in 1986. By 2020 it was home to 114,626 people. None of that changes how a shower goes in. What matters is your own bathroom. Check how high the tub side is, where you would reach for support, and whether anyone in the home would shower more easily sitting down.

Every quote happens in your home, because bathrooms differ. Expect the price to follow your space and your picks: the size and layout, a shower or a tub, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish and extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. The free quote includes the product and the installation. The job itself can be finished in as little as one day. Paul G. noted that his conversion was a "2 day job," and that does happen on some installs.

You call and pick a time for a design visit. All homeowners are asked to be there. A designer listens to what you want, builds a custom plan with options and leaves you with a free quote. You choose the colors, finishes and safety features. On install day, a Love Your Bath crew takes out the old unit and sets the new one. Dave T. wrote that his installer kept the house clean "by putting drop cloths down in the areas he walked in." At the end, the crew walks through every detail with you.

When it is finished, you step in instead of climbing. You can sit down to wash your feet or shave your legs. A grab bar waits on the side you reach toward first, and the walls come clean with a quick pass of a cloth. The bathroom is still yours, just easier to use.
