Tub-to-Shower Conversion in Deltona: A Shower You Walk Into

If you live in Deltona, maybe the tub has become the hardest part of the bathroom to use. Lifting a leg over that wall takes more care than it used to, for you or for someone you look after. You want a shower that is safe to step into, done right, without taking on a project bigger than you need.

In Deltona, as anywhere, a tub-to-shower conversion starts with the tub coming out. A low-threshold Jacuzzi® shower then goes into that same space, so entry is a step and not a climb. The job is kept to the wet area, and floors and vanities are not part of it. The wall type and color, the base and the fixture colors are all yours to pick. If the shape of the old space fits, the pan is custom made. One Deltona shower replacement from 2024 shows the idea well, with Alabaster walls, Brushed Nickel fixtures and a fold-down seat.

Deltona sits on the north shore of Lake Monroe, about halfway between Daytona Beach and Orlando, with Interstate 4 along its west side. It has more people than any other city in Volusia County, and research on the city notes that 27% of residents are 65 and older. We have done three jobs in Deltona: two shower replacements and one bathtub replacement. Still, the plan comes from your bathroom, not from those numbers. Check the height of the tub wall and where a hand would reach for support.

Every quote happens in the home, because each bathroom is its own case. It depends on the size and layout of the tub space, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. Both the product and the installation are in that free quote. For cost, permits and whether to convert at all, see the questions just below.

The process is simple from your side. You call and set up a design visit with all homeowners present. A designer from Love Your Bath listens, then builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. You choose colors, finishes and safety features, and each choice is laid out in the plan. Then the install crew arrives, removes the tub and sets the new shower. Installs take in as little as one day, and a second day is rare. John V. called the installer "Very precise and cautious about his work."

When it is done, the bathroom works for you again, and a tall tub wall is no longer part of your day. You walk into the shower over a low threshold, take a seat if you want one, and hold a grab bar placed where you asked for it. Getting clean stops being a careful balancing act. That small change makes the whole room feel easier.
