How do you keep a bathroom remodel from going sideways?
The pitfalls to dodge, and what to do instead, before you start bathroom remodeling in Gainesville, FL.
Everyone seems to know someone whose remodel ran over, dragged on or left a mess behind. If you are in Gainesville and ready to fix a worn tub or shower, you would rather learn from those stories than star in one. The trick is to keep the job small, clear and owned by one company from the first visit to the last day.
Remodels go sideways for a few plain reasons. The job grows past what needed fixing. Several trades split the work, so when a problem shows up, nobody owns it. Or the new material carries no real warranty, so the problem is yours to keep. Each of these is easier to avoid than to fix after the fact, and each one starts with a decision made early.
Keep the work on the wet area if that is where the trouble is. A new Jacuzzi® tub or shower can go in without touching your floors or vanity. Your price depends on the space and what you pick: its size and layout, shower or bathtub, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras like shelves or grab bars. A clear scope makes for a clear quote.
This week, decide what really needs to change, and get your questions down on paper. Once that list is ready, reach out to Love Your Bath. A designer comes to your Gainesville home, listens, and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. Installs are handled mainly by their own crews, which keeps one company accountable from start to finish. Darlene R. said, "We were kept in the loop the entire time via phone calls."
Handled this way, the project has a clear start and a clear finish, and you know who to call. Nick L. said the install team was "punctual, polite, and quick." What you are left with is a tub or shower you chose, in a bathroom that is otherwise just as you left it. No mystery trades, and no guessing who to call if you have a question later.
