Bathroom Remodeling in Gainesville: A New Tub or Shower

Your Gainesville bathroom may have one main problem: a shower that has seen better days, a tub that is hard to get out of, or walls that never come clean. You want it fixed without turning the whole room into a project. Here is what bathroom remodeling looks like when the work stays on the tub or shower and nothing else.

For Gainesville homeowners, this kind of bathroom remodeling replaces just the tub or the shower with a Jacuzzi® system. Options include a shower replacement, a new bathtub, a tub-to-shower or shower-to-tub conversion, or a walk-in shower. A walk-in tub is another choice. Safety upgrades like grab bars, a built-in seat or a barrier-free shower can be added. Floors, vanities and the rest of the room are left alone, because that work is not part of the job. So far, three Gainesville showers have been replaced this way. One from 2024 has smooth Quarry Topaz walls, Brushed Nickel fixtures, a dual bypass door and a fold-down seat.

Gainesville, in Alachua County, is the most populous city in North Central Florida and home to the University of Florida. It has a young population, with a median age of 25.5 years. Your bathroom, though, is about your household, not the city's average. Look at who uses it now and who might use it in the years ahead. A fold-down seat, a low entry or grab bars may be worth adding, or a simple new shower may be all you want.

There is no set price, because each shower and tub is quoted in the home. What goes into it: the size and layout of the space, shower or bathtub, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and add-ons like a seat, shelves or grab bars. The install itself happens in as little as one day, though a second day is needed on rare jobs. Questions about cost and timing have their own pages below, so this is only the short version. The point is that your choices, not a price sheet, set the number.

You call Love Your Bath and set a time that works for your household. A designer visits, listens to what you want and puts together a custom plan with options and a free quote, product and installation included. You choose the wall type and color, the base and the fixture colors. Then the install is scheduled and the crew puts it in, working only in the tub or shower area. Maggie C. wrote, "The shower is beautiful, exceeded my expectations!"

When it is done, you have a shower or tub picked for your home and your routine, with grout-free walls that help reduce mold and mildew buildup. The rest of the room looks as it did. Only now, the part you use every day works the way you hoped it would.
