Walk-In Showers in Jacksonville, From Riverside to Northside

Whether you live in San Marco, Riverside or out on the Northside, the reason you are here is probably the same: the tub wall in your Jacksonville home has gotten harder to step over. A walk-in shower swaps that climb for a low step, with a seat and grab bars where you want them.

Here in Jacksonville, a walk-in shower is a job that stays inside the tub or shower area. The old unit comes out and a Jacuzzi® shower system goes in, with a low or barrier-free entry, a built-in seat if you want one, and grab bars placed for you. Grout-free walls with antimicrobial surfaces help keep mold and mildew buildup down. Sabrina P. writing about work in the Jacksonville area, said: "They removed the builder's small, creeky tub and installed walk-in shower." In Jacksonville, we have done one shower replacement, one bathtub replacement and one walk-in tub. The shower, from 2025, has smooth Champagne walls and Brushed Nickel fixtures.

Jacksonville sits on the St. Johns River and is the largest city by land area in the contiguous United States. Riverside Avondale is one of its oldest neighborhoods, and San Marco grew after the Acosta Bridge opened in 1921. That history does not change how a shower goes in. Your own bathroom does. Check the height you step over now, where you would hold on, and whether a seat would help. Those three things guide the plan.

Pricing happens in your home, since every bathroom is different. The number rests on the size and layout of the space, whether you start with a tub or a shower, the base, the wall style and finish, and the fixture finish. Adding a seat, shelving or grab bars changes it too. The quote is free and includes both the product and the install. Floors and vanities are never part of it, because the work stays in the wet area.

First, you reach out and pick a time. A Love Your Bath designer visits, listens to what you want, and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. You choose the wall color, base, fixture finish and safety features. Installation is done mainly by the company's own crews, who come on the day that is set. When they are done, they go over every detail with you so you know how everything works.

What you are left with is a shower that fits your life now. You walk in on a low step and sit if you want. Diane L. wrote that it is "spectacular, far above what I imagined." If a specific question is on your mind, the ones below have their own pages.
