What does it cost to swap a tub for a walk-in shower?

You are tired of lifting a leg over the tub wall, and you want to know if a walk-in shower is within reach before anyone comes to the house. That is a fair thing to want to know in Kissimmee. The honest answer is that every bathroom is quoted on its own, and the reasons behind the number are easy to follow.

A tub-to-shower conversion means the old tub comes out and a low-threshold Jacuzzi® shower goes in where it was. Getting in becomes a step instead of a climb. When you search for a price online, you mostly find guesses made for somebody else's bathroom. They cannot tell you much about yours, because the number comes from your space and the things you choose.

The price depends on the size and layout of your tub area, the shower base, the wall style and finish, and the fixture finish. Extras like a built-in seat, shelves or grab bars are part of it too. One shower replaced in Kissimmee in 2025 has smooth Platinum walls and Matte Black fixtures. Someone else might pick different walls plus a seat and grab bars, and their quote would follow those picks.

This week, jot down what bothers you about the tub and what you would want in a shower, like a seat or a grab bar to hold. Then call Love Your Bath and book a free design visit. A designer comes to your Kissimmee home, listens to what you want, and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. That quote includes the product and the installation. All homeowners are asked to be at the visit, so pick a time that works for each of you.

When the work is done, you walk into your shower instead of climbing over a tub wall. You saw your price before any work began, and you chose every finish yourself. The lifetime warranty covers you for as long as you own the home.
