Tub-to-Shower Conversion in Kissimmee: A Step, Not a Climb
How a tub-to-shower conversion works for a home in Kissimmee, FL, from the first visit to your first shower.
Most people start looking into this when stepping over the tub wall begins to feel like a chore, or a worry. Maybe it is your own balance, or a parent who stays with you in Kissimmee. Swapping that tub for a low-threshold shower in the same spot changes the daily routine without touching the rest of the room.
In Kissimmee, the county seat of Osceola County, a tub-to-shower conversion comes down to one change in one spot. The tub comes out, and a Jacuzzi® shower with a low entry goes in its place. You choose the wall type and color, the base type and color, and the fixture finish. Showers can be barrier-free, and very low-profile custom pans are made when the existing shape fits. We have replaced three showers in Kissimmee. One from 2025 pairs smooth Crystal Frost walls with Brushed Nickel fixtures, and another from 2025 has smooth Platinum walls with Matte Black fixtures.
Kissimmee is a place people pass through. Visitors drive through town to reach Walt Disney World nearby, and US 192 and I-4 are major roads here. Shingle Creek runs through the city, and Kissimmee Lakefront Park is one of its parks. None of that is what shapes your shower, though. What matters is inside your own house. Check who uses the tub now, whether a seat would help, where a grab bar would make sense, and whether anyone in the home still takes baths.
The work stays in the wet area, the tub or shower. Floors, vanities and the rest of the bathroom are left as they are. Installs take in as little as one day. Every shower is quoted in the home, because no two bathrooms are the same, and the price follows your space and your picks. The cost question has its own page below if you want the details.
It starts with a call to Love Your Bath to set up a free design visit. A designer comes to your home, listens to what you want, and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. All homeowners are asked to be there for it. Next, you settle on your walls, base, fixtures and any seat or grab bars. On install day, the crew takes out the tub and sets your new shower in its place.
Afterward, the morning shower is just a shower again. You step in, wash up and step out, with no tub wall in the way. R5 S. put it simply after their conversion: "we're looking forward to how much easier it'll be to get in and out of the shower safely."
