What should you budget to trade your tub for a shower?
How the price of a tub-to-shower conversion comes together for a Lakewood Ranch, FL home.
You would like a ballpark before you set aside an afternoon for a visit. That is understandable for anyone in Lakewood Ranch thinking about a walk-in shower. The reason you will not find a fixed price here is simple: every bathroom is different, and the quote is built around yours.
Here is what you are paying for. The tub comes out, and a Jacuzzi® shower with a low entry goes in, so the high tub side is no longer in your way. You pick the look and the safety features. Because each home is different, a single price posted online would be a guess about somebody else's bathroom, not a quote for yours.
The price depends on the size and layout of the space, the base, the wall style and finish, and the fixture finish. A seat, shelves or grab bars are part of the picture too. In Lakewood Ranch, one shower replaced in 2025 has Alabaster walls in a subway pattern, Brushed Nickel fixtures and an Alabaster White base. Your quote will reflect your own picks.
Make a short list of must-haves before you call, such as a seat or grab bars where you step in. Then book a free design visit with Love Your Bath. A designer comes to your home, listens to what you want, and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote that includes the product and installation. DEANNA M. wrote that Shalina "answered all of our questions and concerns."
Once you have that quote, the guessing is over. You know what your shower will cost and what it will look like. When it is in, the lifetime warranty covers you for as long as you own the home.

Think about who uses the bathroom today and in the next few years. A walk-in shower is easier and safer to step into. A tub matters more to families with small children. If the home has another tub, converting one is rarely a problem. Our designer will talk it through with you before you decide.
