Bathroom Safety and Accessibility in Leesburg: What to Expect
How a safer tub or shower comes together for Leesburg, FL homes, from first call to finished work.
Leesburg calls itself The Lakefront City, and you would like to keep enjoying it from your own home for a long time. Lately the tub has felt like the riskiest part of the day, for you or for a parent. That is usually when people start looking into this kind of work.
For a Leesburg home, bathroom safety and accessibility means changes at the tub or shower, not the whole room. Common pieces are grab bars, a built-in seat, and a low entry or a barrier-free shower so you step in instead of climbing. A tub can become a walk-in shower with easier step-in access. Someone who still wants to soak can look at a walk-in tub with a low-threshold entry, a water-sealing door and an integrated seat. We have replaced three showers in Leesburg, including one from 2024 with smooth Midnight Storm walls and Chrome fixtures.
Leesburg sits between Lake Harris and Lake Griffin, and US 27, US 441 and State Road 44 all pass through town. Lake-Sumter State College and Beacon College are here too, and Venetian Gardens is a waterside park on the shore of Lake Harris. Your bathroom, though, is the part that matters for this. Check how high the tub wall is, where you would reach if you started to slip, whether there is room for a seat, and who uses that bathroom most. Those details guide the plan.
Each tub and shower is quoted in your home, so there is no price list to point to. What you choose and the space you have set the price: size and layout, shower or bathtub, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. Walk-in tubs add their size and the accessibility and wellness features chosen. Product and installation are both in the quote, and paying for it has its own answer below.
You call and pick a day. Next comes a home visit from a Love Your Bath designer. The company is a Jacuzzi® Bath Remodel dealer, and all homeowners are asked to be at the visit. At the visit, the designer listens to what you want and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. You choose the wall type and color, the base and the fixture colors, along with the safety features. The install takes in as little as one day; some installs take a second day, rarely. David R. summed up his new shower this way: "Shower will make my life easier."
Afterward, bath time is just bath time again. You step in, sit when you want, and hold on where your hand goes. Your routine stays at home in Leesburg, and if you have questions about Medicare, other options or paying, each one has its own answer below.

"Jared from Love Your Bath contacted me about getting a new shower for my father. My father is a 100 percent disabled veteran who is on 100 percent oxygen. I explained to him that we needed the tub converted to a walk in shower in order for my father to be able to bathe at home. I explained our financial situation and without hesitation he got on the phone with his company and now we are on our way to my dad having what he needs to remain at home. Thank you SO VERY MUCH Jared for your help and thank you Love Your Bath. You truly are a blessing. I give you 100 on a scale from 1to 10 with 10 being exceptional!!!"

"Triston Saxton was the installer of our Jacuzzi shower system. He was phenomenal!! Though the job took one extra day, he was so kind and patient with explaining the reasons, he was also very neat and courteous while working. He even came back later to adjust the door after we had issues with it, after installation was completed. I would recommend Tristan and the team at Love Your Bath!"
