Will you miss the tub if you convert it to a shower?
Thinking through a tub-to-shower conversion for your Leesburg, FL home, one honest question at a time.
It is easy to picture the new shower and still feel a twinge about the old tub. Maybe you wonder about resale, or about guests who like a bath. For a Leesburg homeowner, the best answer comes from looking at how your own household uses that room.
A tub is worth keeping when someone actually soaks in it or bathes young children in it. When it mostly serves as a place to stand and shower, the tall side becomes the part you notice most. A walk-in shower gives easier step-in access, and built-in seating and grab bars are options. Thinking it through this way turns a vague worry into a clear choice.
The conversion itself takes out the tub and puts a low-threshold Jacuzzi® shower in its spot. Price depends on the space and your picks for the base, walls, fixture finish and extras. We have replaced three showers in Leesburg. One, from 2024, has Platinum walls in a subway pattern and Brushed Nickel fixtures.
Have a short talk at home first. Who bathes, who only showers, and who might want a seat or something to hold in a few years? Is there another tub in the house? After that, set up a free design visit with Love Your Bath. A designer listens to what you want and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote, and you decide from there.
If you convert, you get a shower you walk into, plus a lifetime warranty that covers you for as long as you own the home. Michelle N. wrote, "Shower is beautiful." Whichever way you go, you made the choice based on real life in your own house.
What people in Leesburg say
"From my initial conversation at Costco to our sales rep visit with Mike and finally with our installer, Jodeci, we had a wonderful experience. We had a bathtub to shower remodeling done. All of them were courteous, professional and most importantly, honest. Jodeci, came in and did his work. While here, he kept the bathroom area clean by using fans, open windows and keeping doors shut. He kept us in the loop as to what he was doing along the way. By the time he finished, the new shower was exactly as promised. Thank you Jodeci for a job well done. I would recommend this company for any future remodels."
"Love Your Bath – Tampa is an amazing company to work with. I wish there were more than 5 STARS to give them! Their customer service is outstanding! Big THANKS to John who went out of his way numerous times to answer questions and assist us. The communication with Gavin, our Salesman and Jerry, VP of Sales was great. Questions we had were answered promptly and in detail. This company listened to us and truly understood our needs and concerns. We highly recommend Jacuzzi/Love Out Bath to anyone looking for a bath remodel, they will not disappoint you!!"
"We wanted to change out our bathtub and opted to redo the tub, fixtures and wall. We were told that there was a few months wait (possibly). To our surprise they called us sooner and said they were available to do it sooner. Tyler and Kevin (and crew) came in the morning and were done by mid-afternoon. They were fast, efficient, and personable. The finished product looked great! We are very pleased with the work."
