Tub-to-Shower Conversion in Leesburg: What to Expect

Leesburg sits between Lake Harris and Lake Griffin, and its motto is The Lakefront City. But inside the house, a tub with a high wall can turn a daily shower into a worry. Stepping over it takes balance and care. Swapping the tub for a low-threshold Jacuzzi® shower turns that climb into a step. This page walks through what that looks like here.

A tub-to-shower conversion in Leesburg starts with taking the tub out. In its place goes a low-threshold Jacuzzi® shower, so getting in is a step, not a climb over the tub wall. You choose the wall type and color, the base, and the fixture finish. You can add a seat, shelves or grab bars. The work stays in the tub or shower area. Your floor, vanity and the rest of the room are left as they are. Leesburg is a predominantly residential city, and Love Your Bath serves homeowners here.

Leesburg sits between Lake Harris and Lake Griffin, and Venetian Gardens is a waterside park on the shore of Lake Harris. That is the setting, but it does not decide what your bathroom needs. Your own tub does. Stand beside it and notice how you step over the wall. Notice whether you reach for the towel bar to steady yourself. Notice whether anyone else in the house uses it. Those small things tell you if a lower entry would help.

The price depends on what you pick and the space you have. It depends on the size and layout of the tub area, the base, the wall style and finish, and the fixture finish. Extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars also count. Because no two bathrooms are the same, every job is quoted in your home, and the quote includes the product and the installation. We have replaced three showers in Leesburg, and each one was set up differently. One in 2024 used Seaside walls in an 8x10 tile pattern, Oil Rubbed Bronze fixtures and a dual bypass door. The questions below about permits, cost and whether this is a good idea each have their own page.

It begins when you call. Love Your Bath sends a designer to your home, and all homeowners are asked to be present. The designer listens to what you want and builds a plan with options. You pick the colors, finishes and safety features. Then the crew comes to do the install. It takes as little as one day, and some jobs take a second day, though that is rare. Before they leave, the crew goes over every detail with you.

When it is done, the tub wall is gone and a shower you can step into is there instead. The walls are grout-free and easy to wipe down. A seat or grab bar sits where you chose to put it. K M. wrote, "He did a great job and we are very happy with the result." Showering becomes one less thing to think about.
