Tub-to-Shower Conversion in New Port Richey, Step by Step
What trading your tub for a walk-in shower looks like for homes in New Port Richey, FL, and what decides the price.
If you are in New Port Richey and the tub wall has started to feel like a hurdle, you are probably after a shower you can walk into. It might be for you, or for a parent who lives with you. Either way, you want to know what the job involves before you pick up the phone.
A tub-to-shower conversion in New Port Richey is a focused job. The tub comes out, and a low-threshold Jacuzzi® shower goes in where it was. Nothing outside the wet area is touched. You choose the wall type and color, the base type and color, and the fixture finish, and you can add a seat, shelves or grab bars. Crews have done two shower replacements and a bathtub replacement in New Port Richey. One of those showers, from 2023, has Quarry Topaz walls in a herringbone pattern, Brushed Nickel fixtures and a dual bypass door. Your own shower is built from your own picks.
New Port Richey is a historic rivertown in Pasco County, and the Pithlachascotee River runs through the heart of its downtown. The river is a state paddling trail with launches at Sims Park and the James E. Grey Preserve, and manatees are seen there. None of that changes how a shower goes in. What does matter is your own home. Check how many tubs you have, how the space around this one is laid out, and who will use the new shower.
Every shower is quoted in the home, since no two bathrooms are the same. The price depends on the size and layout of the tub space, your base, your wall style and finish, your fixture finish, and extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. The free quote covers the product and the installation. The full cost question has its own page below.
The first step is a call to Love Your Bath for a free design visit. All homeowners are asked to be there. A designer listens, then builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. Next, you pick colors, finishes and any safety features. On install day, the work is done mainly by their own crews. Richard B. wrote: "Very nicely done by a hardworking, professional crew. We love the shower."
Afterward, you walk into the shower on a low entry. The walls, base and fixtures are the ones you chose. The tub wall is no longer part of your morning. If you still wonder about permits or whether this is the right call, those answers sit just below.

What people in New Port Richey say
"We converted our garden tub to a huge walk-in shower. The men who did the conversion were very good. Matt and Philip were professional, efficient, and friendly. They did an excellent job. They were respectful of our property and made certain we were happy with their work before they left. So happy with our new shower."
"Great company!! They have options that you can mix and match! Very professional and someone is there to help you along the way, not a generic phone call with a recording. Thry are concerned and care for you. Give them a try! ❤️"
"When the istallation date arrived, I was quite surprised it was only one person who rang the doorbell. John Westfall arrived on time and proceded to the job at hand by himself. In less than two days he removed the bath tub, stripped the walls down to the studs, replaced all the plumbing with new, and installed an excellent looking shower with doors. My wife and I are very happy on how it all looks and works. After pricing out several companies, we were happy with our decision. Great job John and all. Thank you."
"Very nicely done by a hardworking, professional crew. We love the shower. It’s just as described when we signed the contract with Love Your Bath. Marcel and his team cleaned up any place they used, both in our condo and the building elevator and lobby. We highly recommend Love Your Bath."
"The workers were on time, friendly and thorough. Their work - amazing!!!! Angie and Jonathan did a great job replacing my shower."
"Marcel and his crew were very professional and respectful. I would recommend him and the company to anyone looking to remodel their bathroom. Great job. It’s exactly how we wanted it to look 🙏🏼🙏🏼"
