Walk-In Showers in North Port: Low Steps, Seats and Grab Bars
What a walk-in shower involves for a North Port, FL home, from the design visit to install day.
North Port covers about 104 square miles, with Wellen Park and Warm Mineral Springs among its neighborhoods. Wherever your home is, if the tub wall has started to feel tall, there is a simpler setup. A walk-in shower trades the climb for a low step, a seat and bars to hold.
North Port, in Sarasota County, is the spring training home of the Atlanta Braves at CoolToday Park, and Wellen Park has its own downtown with shops and cafes. Whatever part of the city you call home, a walk-in shower job runs the same way. Your old tub or shower is taken out of the wet area. In its place goes a Jacuzzi® shower base and wall system with a low or barrier-free entry. You choose the walls, base, fixture finish, seat and grab bars. We have replaced two showers and put in one walk-in tub in North Port. One of those showers, from 2023, pairs smooth Seaside walls with Oil Rubbed Bronze fixtures and an exposed roller door.
North Port has a median age of 49.3 years and draws both retirees and families. You could be planning for yourself, a parent or a busy household. Before anyone visits, check a few things. Is the tub wall hard to step over? Would a seat get used? Where should a grab bar go? Would you rather have a door or an open entry? Write the answers down and keep them by the phone.
Every shower here is priced in the home, since each space is different. How big the area is and how it is laid out goes into the quote. So does every pick you make, from the base and walls to the fixtures, shelves, seat and grab bars. That free quote takes in the product and the installation both. Floors and vanities stay out of the job, since only the tub or shower area is worked on. The questions below go deeper on cost and on removing a tub.
The first step is a call to set up a design visit, with all homeowners there. A designer listens and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. Shanice H. wrote, "The process was easy and we spent hours going through various designs to come up with the design that best suits my bathroom space." After that, Love Your Bath schedules the install, done mainly by their own crews, and the crew goes over every detail when it is done.
Once it is in, you walk in on a low step, sit when you want and reach a bar without stretching. Ian D. wrote, "Marcel did a great job and I would use him every time." The tub wall is no longer part of your day, and getting ready takes less effort.

What people in North Port say
"I recently had my bathtub converted into a walk-in shower, and Joselito and his team did an outstanding job. From the moment they arrived, it was clear they took pride in their work. The team was punctual, respectful of my home, kept the workspace clean, and extremely thorough throughout the entire process. The quality of the work is excellent, and the new shower looks and functions beautifully. My wife and I are so happy with how everything turned out and would highly recommend them for any bathroom renovation. Thanks again for a job well done!"
"We first called Jacuzzi because of their ad onTV. We were very pleased how they made arrangements for designer to come see us very quickly. Our designer, Brian Wand, was exceptional. He spent time to understand our needs and made suggestions all without the least bit of pressure. After we had picked what we wanted and it was installed, we were so pleased we asked to have Brian return to design our second shower. Both installations came out looking just the way we had hoped. We are so pleased. With people like Brian working for them, I would not hesitate to recommend Love Your Bath to others."
