Walk-In Showers in Orlando: Easy In, Easy to Keep Clean

Some people come looking after a close call stepping out of the tub. Others are planning ahead before a parent spends more time at their Orlando home. Either way, they want a shower they can walk into without a second thought, and keep clean without scrubbing grout every weekend.

In Orlando, a walk-in shower usually replaces an old tub or a worn shower in the same space. The old unit comes out, and a Jacuzzi® shower system goes in with a low or barrier-free entry. You choose the wall type and color, the base type and color, and the fixture colors. We have replaced two showers and one bathtub in Orlando. One shower from 2024 has smooth Midnight Storm walls and Matte Black fixtures over an Alabaster White base. The 2023 bathtub job has walls in a herringbone pattern, Matte Black fixtures and an open entry with no door. Trish D. an Orlando customer, had an old cast iron bathtub taken out for a new walk-in shower.

Orlando is the county seat of Orange County and has a warm, humid climate. It was the fastest-growing U.S. metro of over 1 million people in 2023-24. Whether you live near Lake Eola, in Parramore or in the Millenia area by The Mall at Millenia, the job itself comes down to your own bathroom. Look at how high the tub wall feels, whether there is a place to sit, and whether the grout is hard to keep clean. In any home, grout-free antimicrobial surfaces help reduce mold and mildew buildup.

There is no posted price, because no two bathrooms are the same. The price depends on the size and layout of the space and on what you pick: the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. Custom pans are made when the existing shape fits, and very low-profile pans are an option. The quote is given in your home and includes product and installation.

You start by calling Love Your Bath to book a design visit, with all homeowners on hand. A designer comes to your home, listens to what you want, and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. Next, you settle on colors, finishes and safety features. Then the crew comes out, removes the old unit and sets the new shower in place. Installs take as little as one day; a second day happens, but rarely.

When it is finished, you walk in, sit down if you want, and reach a grab bar without looking for it. Diane L. called the finished walk-in shower "spectacular, far above what I imagined." Questions about cost, tub removal and walk-in tub alternatives each have their own page below.
