Tub-to-Shower Conversion in Orlando: Trade the Climb for a Step
What to expect from a tub-to-shower conversion in Orlando, FL, from the first visit to your first morning shower.
Stepping over a tub wall is one of those small things that gets harder without much warning. Whether you live near Lake Eola, in Parramore or out toward Winter Park, the fix in an Orlando bathroom is the same idea: take the tub out and put a shower in its place. You keep the room and lose the climb.
In an Orlando home, the work stays where the water is. The tub comes out, and a low-threshold Jacuzzi® shower goes into that same space, with a new base, wall system and fixtures. The rest of the bathroom is not part of the job. Getting in turns into a single step instead of a climb. You decide the wall type and color, the base type and color, and the fixture finish, plus extras such as a built-in seat, shelves or grab bars. Crews have replaced two showers and one bathtub in Orlando. One 2024 Orlando shower has smooth Midnight Storm walls and Matte Black fixtures.
Orlando is the county seat of Orange County and has a warm, humid climate. It was the fastest-growing U.S. metro of over 1 million people in 2023-24. Those facts describe the city, not your bathroom. What changes the answer for you is inside your own walls. Look at how many tubs your home has, who uses this one, and where a seat or a grab bar would make the biggest difference.
Each shower is quoted in your home, since no two bathrooms are the same. The price depends on the size and layout of the space, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and the extras you add. That quote covers the product and the installation together. Installs take in as little as one day, and rarely a second. The cost question, the permit question and whether this is a good idea at all each get their own page below.
You start with a phone call. Next, a Love Your Bath designer visits your Orlando home, listens to what you want, and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote, with all homeowners asked to be there. Trish D. in a review tied to Orlando, called the free in home design consultation "very informative and fun." You then choose your colors and safety features. On install day, the crew removes the tub and sets your new shower.
When it is done, the bathroom looks like it belongs to you again. You walk in, turn on the water, and sit if you want to. Getting out is as easy as getting in, with something solid to hold if you chose grab bars. The towel bar can go back to just holding towels.

"Jean Santiago just finished our tub to shower conversion. He did an absolutely fabulous job and we're looking forward to how much easier it'll be to get in and out of the shower safely."
"Was professional from beginning to end. The sales rep was knowledgeable about his product. From there the company stayed in regular contact with me advising of timelines with product ordering, permits, etc. Once the installation date was set, a wonderful installer named Angie came and completed the demo and installation single handedly. She was professional, neat and obviously experienced in what she was doing. The company even went over and above driving to a distribution center in Orlando early morning to pick up a special drain needed for my installation to be completed on time. All in all I would recommend this company to anyone looking to remodel."

"So far the company has been excellent. The first phone call was very helpful and easily set up an appointment for a rep to come out and give us a quote. I’ve not had the same ease with other companies. The rep, Jim was very professional and spent a lot of time with us explaining every detail and aspect of the project. He spent almost 3 hours going over every detail and answering questions. I was impressed with Jim’s knowledge and the company’s lifetime guarantee , materials used and the water I’m Trutight system. We are looking forward to the installation."
