Is there a lower-cost way to get a brand new shower?
How replacing only the shower works, for Ponte Vedra, FL homeowners comparing their options.
You are ready for a new shower, but not for a bathroom torn down to the floor for weeks. If you are in Ponte Vedra pricing this out, watch for bids that bundle far more work than you asked for. There is a way to spend on the shower alone and leave the rest of the room as it is.
Often the shower is the only part of a bathroom that has truly worn out. Stained grout, a cracked base or a door that sticks can make the whole room feel old. Fixing that does not take new floors or cabinets. Replacing just the shower, with a new base and wall system set where the old one stood, gets you a real new shower without paying for a room you were happy with.
A smaller job means fewer days and fewer moving parts. Many of these installs take as little as one day, though once in a while one stretches to a second. Your price still depends on the size and layout of the space, the base, the wall finish, the fixtures and any extras. Richard S. wrote that the salesman "did not try to up sell me on anything" and "made it feasible for me to afford."
Decide what has to change and what can stay, then hold that line in every conversation. Call Love Your Bath for a free quote, and a designer will come to your Ponte Vedra home, listen, and build a custom plan with options around what you want. Say up front that you want only the shower done. If a bid includes floors or a vanity you never mentioned, it is not the lean option.
In the end you have a Jacuzzi® shower with walls built for easy upkeep, and the rest of the room untouched. Ponte Vedra has three replaced showers so far, one with Platinum walls in a carved stone pattern and a dual bypass door. You spent on the part that needed it.
What people in Ponte Vedra say
"Had a Garden Tub to Walk in shower conversion . Tristan was the installer. He did this 2 day job by himself . I was very impressed with his skills during demo and install in a 3rd floor condo incased in concrete. He had to break out the jack hammer to complete the drain. Once completed the Shower is awesome. Thank you Paul G"
"From start to finish Lenny the salesman to Steve and Alvin the technicians were extremely professional!! Lenny did not try to up sell me on anything. He took what I wanted and made it feasible for me to afford. Steven & Alvin were extremely talented technicians. They kept me informed ever day on when there were at and what was next. I could tell how professional they both were by how the cleaned up after each day of work and how proud the were of their completed project. I would highly recommend this company."
"Jode C came to my house prepared and on time. His scope of work was exactly what I had expected. He went above and beyond to complete the job. With a hiccup or 2 he never shy’d away. He definitely knows what he is doing. He was very respectful when speaking to him and left the place just as he found it clean! Little pricey for just a shower but I’m happy with the completed job! Thank you for the fine job you did and going above and beyond to complete the project"
Other things people in Ponte Vedra ask
how much does a shower replacement cost
The price depends on the shower size, the base and wall style, and the extras you choose such as a seat, shelves or grab bars. Replacing only the shower costs much less than remodeling the whole bathroom. A designer measures at home and gives you a free, written quote.
are one day bath remodels worth it
A fast job is possible because only the tub or shower is replaced, not the whole room. What matters is the product and who stands behind it. We install genuine Jacuzzi® systems, mainly with our own crews, and activate a lifetime warranty when the job is done. Most jobs take as little as one day; some take longer, and we will tell you which at the design visit.
