Tub-to-Shower Conversion in Port St. Lucie, Start to Finish

For many people, the question starts with one shaky moment: a wobble while stepping over the tub wall. Or it starts with watching a parent take that step and holding your breath. Either way, a conversion swaps the climb for a low step, and you can plan it without leaving your Port St. Lucie home.

The work is simple to picture. The tub is removed, and a low-threshold Jacuzzi® shower is fitted into the same opening. Only the tub area changes, so floors and vanities are not part of it. You decide on the wall type and color, the base and the fixture colors, and you add a seat or grab bars if you want them. Three showers have been replaced in Port St. Lucie, each with its own look. One from 2024 has Brushed Nickel fixtures, an exposed roller door and a fold-down seat. Another, from 2025, has smooth Savannah walls with Brushed Nickel fixtures. A third, also from 2025, pairs smooth Alabaster walls with Matte Black fixtures.

Port St. Lucie, in St. Lucie County, had 204,851 people at the 2020 census, the largest city in its county. St. Lucie West is a community in the western part of the city, and Tradition, a large planned community, sits west of I-95. Crosstown Parkway connects I-95 with US 1. Wherever your home is, the details that count are inside it. Measure nothing yet. Just notice the size of the tub space, how it is laid out, and who will use the shower.

Every shower here is quoted in the home, because bathrooms differ. What you pay hinges on the size and layout of the space, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and add-ons like a seat, shelves or grab bars. The free quote covers product and installation alike. Nothing is priced until you have seen the options for your own bathroom. Installs take in as little as one day, though some take a second day, rarely.

You start by calling to book a design visit, and all homeowners are asked to be there. A designer from Love Your Bath comes over, listens to what you want, and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. After you settle on colors and safety features, the install goes on the calendar. The crew removes the tub, sets the shower, and goes over every detail with you at the end.

Then the bathroom simply works. You walk into the shower over a low step, and the tub wall is no longer part of your day. Heather G. wrote of the finished job: "Really happy all around with our tub to shower conversion. Everyone was very knowledgeable about the product and the cleanliness during installation was impeccable."
