Shower-to-Tub Conversion in Port St. Lucie: Bring Back the Bath

Lots of people reach a point where the shower is fine but the bath is missed. In Port St. Lucie, that might be a family wanting a tub for young kids, a couple who misses a long soak, or a homeowner thinking about the next buyer. The good news is that getting a tub back does not mean redoing the whole bathroom.

A shower-to-tub conversion removes your shower and puts a new Jacuzzi® bathtub in its place, along with a new wall surround. The work stays in the wet area. You choose a classic alcove tub or a deep-soaking tub, then the wall type, color and pattern, the base and the fixture finish. Add-ons like a slip-resistant surface, grab bars and built-in seating are available. We have replaced three showers in Port St. Lucie, and each owner picked a different look. One chose Brushed Nickel fixtures, an exposed roller door and a fold-down seat. Another, in 2025, went with smooth Alabaster walls, Matte Black fixtures and a Platinum Gray base.

Port St. Lucie had 204,851 people at the 2020 census, the largest city in St. Lucie County. It takes in communities like St. Lucie West in the western part of the city and Tradition, a large planned community west of I-95. Wherever you live in the city, the checks that matter most are in your own bathroom. Is there a second tub in the house? Who will use this one? Does anyone need a seat or something to hold onto?

Each tub is quoted in the home, because no two bathrooms are the same. What you pay depends on the size and layout of the space, the tub you choose, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. The free quote includes the product and the installation. Only the shower area is replaced, so it is a smaller job than a full remodel.

First, you reach out to Love Your Bath and set a time for a free design visit. All homeowners are asked to be there. The designer listens to what you want and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. Next, you choose your tub, colors and finishes. Then the crew handles the install, which takes in as little as one day; some take a second day, rarely. Debbie J. said the company "made the process very simple for my family from design to installation."

Once the crew is gone, you have a tub where the shower was, with walls in the colors you picked. Bath time for small kids is easy again, or the evening soak is back on the calendar. The room looks fresh, and it fits how your family lives now.
