Pricing a tub where your shower is now: what matters
Shower-to-tub conversion cost for homes in Punta Gorda, FL, explained without guesswork.
A shower is handy, but you have been missing a bathtub. Maybe it is for grandchildren who come to stay, maybe it is the soak itself, maybe it is the house's appeal down the road. Before you ask anyone to come to your Punta Gorda home, you want to know what drives the cost.
Cost is the first question almost everyone has, and the honest answer is that it depends. Turning a shower into a tub means pulling the shower, setting a new Jacuzzi® tub and putting up a fresh wall surround. The space you have and the tub you want shape the rest. That is why a price you see online rarely matches what your own bathroom needs.
These are the things that set your price: the size and layout of the shower area, the tub style, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras such as a seat, shelves or grab bars. Every tub is quoted in the home, since no two bathrooms are the same. The work covers only the wet area, so only the shower is replaced. The free quote covers the product and the installation.
Start by booking a free design visit with Love Your Bath. A designer comes to your home, listens to what you want and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. Have every homeowner there, as all homeowners are asked to attend. It helps to look at your current shower first and jot down what bugs you about it, so nothing gets missed. Financing is offered, and you can ask about it at the visit.
With the quote in hand, the guessing is over and you can choose with a clear head. If you go ahead, you get a tub with walls in your own colors. Jay H. wrote that the crew was able to "transform our bathroom into a beautiful bath/shower area."
