Does a one-day tub replacement mean someone cut corners?
What makes one-day bathtub replacement possible, and what to check, for homeowners in Rockledge, FL.
Maybe a contractor once told you a week and took a month, and now a one-day timeline sounds like a sales line. Or maybe you are helping a parent in Rockledge and you want the job done right, not just done quickly. Either way, it is worth knowing why the timeline is short.
A one-day install is short because the job is narrow. Only the tub and the walls around it get replaced. The floor, the vanity and the rest of the bathroom are left alone. That lets the crew focus on one spot from start to finish. Because so little else is touched, installs take in as little as one day. Some take a second day, rarely, and that is the exception.
How fast it goes and what it costs are separate things. The price depends on what you choose and on your space, including the size and layout of the tub area, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and any seat, shelves or grab bars. Every tub is quoted in the home. Both the product and the installation are in your free quote. Ask any price questions during the visit, not after.
When you weigh a one-day install, look at who does the work and what goes in. Love Your Bath installs genuine Jacuzzi® systems, and installation is done mainly by its own crews. The installers it uses are primarily W-2 employees. Ask how the crew leaves things when it is done, and what you should do to care for the new surface. Lawanda P. wrote that her installer, Marcel, "Explained all that was done and how to take care of the cleaning and care of the shower."
At the end of the job, there is a new tub in place and the room around it is just as you left it. You get your bathroom back, and you can stop wondering whether fast meant careless. If you helped a parent through it, they end up with a tub chosen with their needs in mind.
