Bathtub Replacement in Rockledge: How It Works, Start to Finish
A plain guide to replacing an old tub with a new Jacuzzi® bathtub in Rockledge, FL, and what to expect.
The tub in your Rockledge home has done its job for a long time, and it shows. Maybe the surface looks tired no matter how hard you scrub, or getting in has started to feel like a climb. You want a fresh tub without turning the whole bathroom upside down, and that is exactly what this kind of work is for.
Rockledge, in Brevard County, is the county's oldest city, dating to 1887, and it sits along the Indian River. Neighborhoods like Virginia Park and Kings Grant were built from the 1960s to the 1980s. Whatever year your own house went up, bathtub replacement works the same way. The old tub comes out, and a new Jacuzzi® bathtub and its walls go in. You get to decide the wall type and its color, the base and the colors of the fixtures. You can pick a classic alcove tub or a deep-soaking tub, with options like slip-resistant surfaces, grab bars and built-in seating. The rest of the room stays as it is.
Drive down Rockledge Drive and you pass century-old oaks and old homes along the river. Other parts of town, like Marlin Manor and Fairway Estates, have their own look. Wherever you live in town, start with your own tub. Look for dull or stained spots on the surface, worn caulk lines and a high side that is hard to step over. Notice whether a seat or grab bar would help the person who bathes most. Jot down what you find, so nothing slips your mind later.
No two bathrooms are the same, so every tub is quoted in the home. What you pay depends on what you pick and on your space: the size and layout of the tub area, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. For a walk-in tub, the price also depends on the tub size and the accessibility and wellness features you choose. Product and installation are both part of the free quote.
First, you call to set up a visit. A designer from Love Your Bath comes to your home, listens and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. Every homeowner is asked to be there for it. Leonard S. called his designer, Sebastian R. "very professional, courteous, patient and very knowledgeable." Once you pick your colors and features, installation is done mainly by the company's own crews. Its installers are primarily W-2 employees.
When it is done, you have a tub made from a durable material that resists damage and keeps its color. It cleans up fast thanks to anti-microbial protection. The bathroom you already know stays put, with a tub in it you are happy to use again.
