Bathtub Replacement in Sarasota: Your Guide to a New Tub
What bathtub replacement covers in Sarasota, FL, what the price depends on and how the work gets done.
Some people in Sarasota come looking because the old tub is stained or dated. Others are planning ahead, for themselves or for a parent, and want a tub with a seat or grab bars. Either way, the goal is a tub that works for you now, without redoing the whole room.
Sarasota housing mixes single-family homes, multi-unit buildings and mobile homes. Whatever kind you live in, the first step is a look at the tub you have. In a bathtub replacement, the old tub comes out and a new Jacuzzi® bathtub goes in, with walls to match. You pick the wall type and color, the base and the fixture colors. Choices run from a classic alcove tub to a deep-soaking tub, with options like slip-resistant surfaces, grab bars and built-in seating. Here in Sarasota we have replaced three showers so far, and a 2024 shower replacement finished with Platinum walls in a random stone pattern and Chrome fixtures.
Sarasota is the county seat of Sarasota County. It is known for the arts, including the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, and Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is here too. The city also ranks as a top U.S. retirement destination, and 29.5% of residents were 65 or older in the 2020 census. None of that changes how a tub is replaced. What shapes the plan is your own home, so check it. Is the tub surface stained or dull? Is the side hard to step over? Would a built-in seat or grab bars help?
Your price is set in your home, because no two bathrooms are the same. It depends on the size and layout of the tub space, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. For walk-in tubs, it depends on the tub size and the accessibility and wellness features you choose. The free quote covers the product and the installation, and the cost questions below go into more.
Step one is a phone call. A Love Your Bath designer comes to your home, hears what you want and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. Each homeowner is asked to be on hand. You pick the colors, finishes and safety features. Installation is then done mainly by the company's own crews. Yvonne M. wrote that her installers "worked so quietly that we hardly knew they were in the home." Her review goes on to say they "left everything spotless."
After installation, you have a tub made from a durable material that resists damage and keeps its color. Barbara S. put it this way: "Excellent product and excellent workmanship!!!!!" The rest of your bathroom stays just as it was. Bath time can go back to being something you look forward to.
