Bathtub Replacement in St. Petersburg: A Plain Guide

In St. Petersburg, the bathroom you have may be fine except for the tub. It is stained, hard to step into, or just tired, and you would like it gone without the work spreading through the rest of the room. Here is how bathtub replacement goes for a home in St. Petersburg, in Pinellas County.

The job itself is simple to describe. The old tub comes out, and a new Jacuzzi® bathtub goes into the same space, with new walls around it. Classic alcove and deep-soaking styles are both on the table. You can add slip-resistant surfaces, grab bars or built-in seating. You also pick the wall type and color, the base type and color, and the fixture colors. The tub is made from a durable material that resists damage, keeps its color and has anti-microbial protection. In St. Petersburg, two showers and one bathtub have been replaced. That bathtub, from 2024, has Champagne walls in an 8x10 tile pattern and Chrome fixtures.

St. Petersburg has more than 100 neighborhoods. Old Northeast is a historic neighborhood next to downtown, and Kenwood is best known for its historic bungalows. Downtown has galleries, museums and waterfront parks. Your home could be in any part of the city. Either way, the tub space in your own bathroom is what counts. Before the visit, notice how hard it is to step over the side. Think about whether you need a hand getting out, and which spots you scrub the most.

Every tub is quoted in the home, because each bathroom has its own shape. Your price rests on the size and layout of the tub space, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and any extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. Your free quote includes the product and the installation. As for time, installs take in as little as one day, and some take a second day, rarely. The cost and one-day questions below each have a page of their own.

To begin, you call and set a time for the design visit. A designer comes to your St. Petersburg home and listens to what you want. You get a custom plan with options and a free quote, and you pick the colors, finishes and safety features. All homeowners are asked to join that visit. Stephen D. wrote that Jared "spent a lot of time working with us through all the details." Once you decide, Love Your Bath books the install. Install day is when the old tub leaves and the new one is set in place.

In the end, you have a tub that is easy to wipe down and nice to look at. The color you chose is the color you keep seeing. If a seat or grab bars were part of your plan, you have something solid to hold when you get in and out.
