Walk-In Showers in The Villages, Made for an Easy Step

The Villages has golf cart paths, tunnels and overpasses, plus town centers like Spanish Springs, Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood Paddock Square. At home, the tub wall may be the one step you would rather not take. A walk-in shower takes it away and gives you a seat and something solid to hold.

A walk-in shower is a Jacuzzi® shower system with a low or barrier-free entry, grout-free walls, and a built-in seat and grab bars placed for you. You pick each color and finish. In The Villages, there has been a shower replacement, a bathtub replacement and a walk-in tub. The shower, from 2025, has Alabaster walls in a herringbone pattern, an Alabaster White base and Matte Black fixtures. The bathtub replacement, from 2023, has smooth Alabaster walls, Brushed Nickel fixtures and an exposed roller door. Every one of them was built to order, since every shower and tub is custom.

The Villages is age-restricted: at least 80% of homes must have a resident 55 or older, and a few family neighborhoods let younger residents live here too. Whether you are planning for yourself or for a parent here, check your own bathroom first. Do you shower in the tub today? Is there a second bathroom to use during the work? Who needs a seat? Which spot would a grab bar suit? Those answers shape the plan, so write down what you find before you call.

No two bathrooms match, so each walk-in shower is quoted in the home. The quote turns on whether you want a shower or a tub, the size and layout of the space, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. Product and installation are both in it. The colors and finishes on offer follow the latest bathroom design trends. The work stays in the wet area. Installs can take as little as one day, and rarely a second.

Call Love Your Bath and pick a time when all homeowners can be home. A designer comes by, listens, and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. You choose colors, finishes and safety features. Bring your list of questions to that visit. The install follows, and the crew goes over every detail with you at the end. Glenda P. wrote, "He showed up on time on both days, he did an awesome job."

Then the shower is simply easy. You step in, sit when you want, and keep a hand on a bar. Brigette S. put it this way: "I am in my dream space." Your floor, vanity and mirror stay just as they were. It is the same bathroom, with one step made easy. The questions below dig into cost, tub removal and other options.
