Walk-In Showers in Altamonte Springs: A Step In, Not a Climb
What a walk-in shower involves for a home in Altamonte Springs, FL, from the first visit to your first easy shower.
Maybe it started with one hard step over the tub wall, or a parent who now needs a hand getting in. Whether your home is in Altamonte Heights, Barclay Woods or another corner of Altamonte Springs, you want a shower that feels steady underfoot and stays easy to clean. You also want it done without tearing apart the whole room.
A walk-in shower in Altamonte Springs usually takes the place of an old tub or a worn shower, right in the same spot. The old unit comes out. A Jacuzzi® shower base and wall system goes in, with a low or barrier-free entry, so you step in instead of climbing over a wall. You decide where a built-in seat and grab bars go, and you pick the wall color, base and fixture finish. We have replaced two showers and one bathtub in Altamonte Springs. One has smooth Sandstorm walls, Brushed Nickel fixtures and an Alabaster White base. The work stays on the tub or shower itself, so your floor and vanity stay put.
Altamonte Springs has more multifamily homes than single-family ones, about 12,553 units against 8,462 single-family homes. If your bath is in a condo or townhome, the plan still centers on the tub or shower space alone. Before anyone visits, take a quick look around. How hard is the step into your tub today? Where would a grab bar help most? Would a seat make showering easier for someone in your home? Also look at the grout. Grout lines are where mildew likes to start in any shower.
No two bathrooms are the same, so every walk-in shower is quoted in the home. The price depends on what you pick and on your space. The size and layout of the area matter. So do the base, the wall style and finish, and the fixture finish. Extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars add to it. The free quote covers both the product and the installation. The install takes as little as one day. Some take a second day, but that is rare.
First, you call and set a time for a designer to come to your home. All homeowners are asked to be there. The designer listens to what you want, then builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. You pick the colors, finishes and safety features. On install day, a Love Your Bath crew takes out the old tub or shower and sets the new base and walls. When they finish, the crew walks you through every detail before they leave.
Afterward, your morning shower starts with a low step, not a climb over a tub. A seat sits where you asked for it, and a grab bar is on the wall you lean toward. The walls wipe clean with no grout to scrub. Whoever showers there, you or a parent, can do it with less worry.
