Bathroom Remodeling in Lakewood Ranch: Tub and Shower Swaps
How bathroom remodeling works for a Lakewood Ranch, FL home, from picking colors to the day the crew packs up.
In Lakewood Ranch, you may love your home and still dread one corner of it: the tub you climb into or the shower that always looks tired. You do not want a big tear-out to fix it. You want the problem spot replaced and the rest of the bathroom left the way it is.
Bathroom remodeling here means replacing the wet area. The old tub or shower comes out, and a Jacuzzi® shower or bathtub goes in. You can trade a tub for a shower, go the other way, or keep the same layout with a fresh unit. Safety upgrades can be part of the same job, including grab bars, built-in seats, low entries and barrier-free showers. Floors, vanities and cabinets are not part of the work. We have replaced one shower in Lakewood Ranch. It went in during 2025 with Alabaster walls in a 3x6 subway pattern, Brushed Nickel fixtures and an Alabaster White base.
Lakewood Ranch is a planned community in Manatee and Sarasota counties, east of I-75, with 150+ miles of trails and a Main Street town center. Those facts describe the place, not your bathroom. So start with your own room. Notice how easy it is to step in and out. Look for stains or mildew on the walls and in the corners. Ask whether a seat or a grab bar would help anyone who uses the bath. Then think about the colors you would want to live with every morning.
The price is worked out in your home, because no two bathrooms are the same. It depends on the size and layout of the space, a shower or a bathtub, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras such as shelves, a seat or grab bars. Product and installation are both in the quote. There is a separate page below on cost if you want the longer answer.
You call Love Your Bath and set a time for a designer to visit. All homeowners are asked to come to that visit. The designer listens, then builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. You choose the colors, finishes and safety features. On install day, the old unit comes out and the new one goes in, in as little as one day, though some installs take a second day, rarely. Maira D. wrote that her installer "finished the complete job in one day as promised."
Afterward, you have a shower or tub that fits how you live today, set into the same bathroom you already know. Michele D. summed it up: "My new shower looks amazing." If you are still wondering whether a fast job is worth it, or what mistakes to dodge, see the questions below.

He was very knowledgeable and showed us how are new shower would look. Jerry came to our house a week later and removed the tub and walls with very little mess. He then installed the new shower and fixtures. Jerry was very meticulous and hardworking. We are happy with our new shower but the best part is that my Dad can take a shower safely. They were very professional and they made sure to clean up after they were done. We are very happy with our new shower!
