Shower Replacement in Lakewood Ranch: What the Work Looks Like
Everything about replacing a shower in Lakewood Ranch, FL: your choices, the pricing factors and how install day goes.
Lakewood Ranch is a planned community east of I-75, with Main Street as its town center. Your home here may be in great shape except for one room, and in that room, one corner: a shower with stained grout, a tall step, or a look that has not aged well. That corner is what this page is about.
Here, shower replacement means the old shower comes out and a Jacuzzi® shower system takes its place. The new one has a low basin, a stone or tile look surround and walls that are made for easy upkeep. Surfaces are grout-free and antimicrobial, which helps cut mold and mildew buildup. You pick the wall type and color, the base and the fixture finish, and you can add a seat or grab bars. We have replaced one shower in Lakewood Ranch so far, a 2025 job with Alabaster walls in a 3x6 subway pattern, Brushed Nickel fixtures and an Alabaster White base.
Lakewood Ranch had a median age of 52.3 at the 2020 census. That number does not change how a shower is built, but it may match where you are in life. Think about the next ten years in your bathroom. Would a seat help on tired days? Would grab bars make you feel steadier? Is the step in already a stretch? Those are the questions that shape the plan, and they are worth asking before anyone visits.
Each shower is quoted in your home. The size and layout of the space, the base, the wall style and finish, and the fixture finish set the price. Extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars add to it. Floors and full remodels are not part of the work, so they never show up in the quote. The free quote covers the product and the installation. Cost questions get their own pages below.
You call to set up a time. A designer from Love Your Bath comes to the house, listens and builds a custom plan with options, with all homeowners there. You choose colors, finishes and safety features. Then the install gets scheduled. It takes in as little as one day, and some take a second day, rarely. When it is finished, the crew goes over every detail with you.
Afterward, the shower is the easy part of your day. You step in over a low basin, wipe the walls down and stop thinking about grout. Kevin W. said of the installer: "He was very knowledgeable, efficient, cleaned up After himself."

"We are very pleased with the bathroom renovation done by Jodeci. This man did not even take a break for lunch and worked until 6 p.m. both nights he was here. Our renovation became more complicated due to the Cast iron bath tub and the age of our house. Jodeci didn't flinch just kept working. So glad we chose Love Your Bath"

"So far the company has been excellent. The first phone call was very helpful and easily set up an appointment for a rep to come out and give us a quote. I’ve not had the same ease with other companies. The rep, Jim was very professional and spent a lot of time with us explaining every detail and aspect of the project. He spent almost 3 hours going over every detail and answering questions. I was impressed with Jim’s knowledge and the company’s lifetime guarantee , materials used and the water I’m Trutight system. We are looking forward to the installation."
