Is giving up the bathtub the right call for your home?
Help deciding on a tub-to-shower conversion for your Ponte Vedra, FL home, before you commit.
Maybe you have not taken a bath in years, yet the tub still sits there making every shower a careful climb. In Ponte Vedra, as anywhere, the hesitation sounds the same: what if you miss it, or what if it matters when the house sells? Those are fair questions to settle first.
Most of the doubt comes from not knowing what you would lose. A tub gives you a place to soak and a place to bathe small children. A shower gives you an easier way in and out, with room for a seat and grab bars. Which matters more depends on the people using that room, not on a general rule. If a grown son or daughter is helping you decide, bring them into the talk early.
If you go ahead, the change stays inside the tub area. The old tub comes out, and a low-threshold Jacuzzi® shower goes in where it was. You choose the walls, the base and the fixture finish. The wall surfaces are grout-free and antimicrobial, and they help reduce mold and mildew buildup. One Ponte Vedra shower replacement from 2025 went with Alabaster walls in a herringbone pattern and Brushed Nickel fixtures, which shows the kind of look you can pick.
Spend a few minutes this week picturing the next several years in that bathroom. Is anyone struggling with the tub wall now? Do grandchildren bathe there often? Is there another tub elsewhere in the house? When you have your answers, set up a free design visit with Love Your Bath and ask all homeowners to join. A designer listens to your answers and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. The choice stays yours, made with the facts in front of you.
Once you have decided, the bathroom fits how your home works today. Nick L. noted that "the install team was punctual, polite, and quick." Whether you keep the tub or trade it for a shower, you will know exactly why you chose it, and that question will be closed.
