Bathroom Remodeling in St. Augustine: A New Tub or Shower
What changing just the tub or shower looks like for a St. Augustine, FL home, from the first call to the end.
Your tub is hard to climb into, or your shower walls look tired, and you live in St. Augustine. You want it fixed without turning the whole house upside down for weeks. The good news is that the tub or shower can be replaced on its own, and the rest of the bathroom can stay just as it is.
Bathroom remodeling here focuses on one part of the room, the wet area. The old tub or shower comes out and a new Jacuzzi® system goes in. You can trade a tub for a shower, a shower for a tub, or replace like for like, then add a seat, grab bars or a low entry. Floors, vanities and cabinets stay as they are. In 2025, we replaced a shower in St. Augustine with smooth Sandshell Beige walls and Chrome fixtures, and a bathtub with Chrome fixtures. That same year, a walk-in tub with Windstorm walls went into a St. Augustine home as well.
St. Augustine, the St. Johns County seat, was founded in 1565. It is the oldest continuously inhabited European-founded city in the contiguous U.S. with brick streets downtown and the Castillo de San Marcos, a 17th-century Spanish fort. The median age here is 48.7 years. History aside, your own bathroom is what decides the job. Check how easy it is to step in and out, how the walls look up close, and whether you would like a seat or grab bars.
What you pay comes down to your space and your picks. That means the size and layout of the tub or shower area, a shower or a bathtub, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and add-ons like shelves. Walk-in tub pricing also rests on the tub size and the accessibility and wellness features chosen. Everything is quoted in your home. The cost question below goes into more detail.
You call and set a time. A Love Your Bath designer comes out, listens to what you want, and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. All homeowners are asked to be there. You pick the colors, finishes and safety features. Then a crew, made up mainly of the company's own installers, takes out the old tub or shower and puts in the new one. At the end, they walk you through every detail.
Afterward, you have a bathroom you do not have to fight with every morning. Henrik R. wrote that his new shower "has brightened up the room a lot." Gisele P. said, "The communication was great." That is the whole goal: a tub or shower that fits you, and no loose ends.
