Bathroom Remodeling in St. Petersburg for Your Tub or Shower
How a new tub or shower comes together for St. Petersburg, FL homes, and what to expect along the way.
You live in St. Petersburg, and the tub or shower is the part of the bathroom you dread. Maybe it is the high side you climb over, or walls that never look clean no matter how hard you scrub. You want it fixed without living in a construction zone, and you want to know what the job really involves.
In St. Petersburg, this kind of bathroom remodeling means the tub or shower, start to finish. The old one comes out and a Jacuzzi® system goes in, set up the way you choose. Some people trade a tub for a walk-in shower. Others keep a tub and add grab bars or a built-in seat. Floors, vanities and lighting are not part of it. We have replaced two showers and a bathtub in St. Petersburg. One 2024 shower has Platinum walls in a herringbone pattern, Matte Black fixtures and a fold-down seat. A 2025 shower has smooth Alabaster walls, Brushed Nickel fixtures and a dual bypass door.
St. Petersburg sits in Pinellas County and has more than 100 neighborhoods. Old Northeast is a historic one next to downtown, and Kenwood is best known for its historic bungalows. The EDGE District is on the western edge of downtown. Whatever neighborhood you are in, your own bathroom decides the job. Look at the size of your tub or shower space, how easy it is to step in, and whether a seat or grab bars would help.
Cost is set in your home, since no two bathrooms are the same. It depends on the space's size and layout, shower versus bathtub, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras like shelves or a seat. For a walk-in tub, the tub size and the accessibility and wellness features you choose belong on that list. The cost question below has a fuller answer.
Step one is a phone call. NF M. wrote that "The first phone call was very helpful." Next, a Love Your Bath designer visits, listens, and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote, with all homeowners there. You choose colors, finishes and safety features. The install takes as little as one day, and a second day is rare. Then the crew walks you through the finished job.
Afterward, you have a shower or tub that suits the way you use it now, in a room you did not have to gut. Nancy D. wrote of her installer, "The shower looks great." You stop dreading that corner of the house.

"So far the company has been excellent. The first phone call was very helpful and easily set up an appointment for a rep to come out and give us a quote. I’ve not had the same ease with other companies. The rep, Jim was very professional and spent a lot of time with us explaining every detail and aspect of the project. He spent almost 3 hours going over every detail and answering questions. I was impressed with Jim’s knowledge and the company’s lifetime guarantee , materials used and the water I’m Trutight system. We are looking forward to the installation."
