Shower Replacement in Venice, Done Without a Full Remodel

Venice calls itself the City on the Gulf, but the thing on your mind right now may be much closer to home. If the shower in your Venice home has gotten harder to step into or harder to keep clean, it is natural to start looking around. You want it fixed without the whole bathroom torn apart and without strangers in the house for weeks.

Whether you live on Venice Island, in Bayshore Estates or in Chestnut Creek, a shower replacement follows the same plan. The old shower comes out. A Jacuzzi® shower system goes in, with a low basin, a stone or tile look surround and walls made for easy upkeep. The wall surfaces are grout-free and antimicrobial, which helps reduce mold and mildew buildup. You choose the wall type and color, the base and the fixture colors. We have replaced three showers in Venice. One, from 2023, has Quarry Topaz walls in an 8x10 tile pattern, Brushed Nickel fixtures and a pivot door. Another, from 2025, went with smooth Sandstorm walls, Chrome fixtures and a dual bypass door. Same kind of job, two very different looks.

The median resident age in Venice is 69.8 years, and the city has a large retiree and snowbird population. If that sounds like your household, think ahead. A shower you can step into easily, with a seat and a grab bar where your hand goes, is worth planning now rather than later. Barrier-free showers and very low-profile custom pans are options. If you are only here part of the year, plan the install for a stretch when you will be home to see it through.

What the job takes depends on your space and your picks: the size and layout, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. The work covers only the wet area, so floors and vanities are not part of it. The cost and timing questions people ask most have their own pages just below this one.

It starts with a call to set up a design visit at your home. All homeowners are asked to be there. A designer listens to what you want, then builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. You pick your colors, finishes and safety features. On install day, the crew takes out the old shower and puts in the new one. When they finish, Love Your Bath goes over every detail with you and activates the lifetime warranty right then.

After that, the shower is simply part of your day again. You step in, wash and step out without giving it a second thought. The warranty covers you for as long as you own the home. As ZOE C. wrote, "Made everything very clear. Answered all questions."
