Tub-to-Shower Conversion in Vero Beach: Step Right In
What to expect from a tub-to-shower conversion in a Vero Beach, FL home, from the design visit to install day.
Whether you live in The Moorings, Vero Beach Highlands or near the revitalized historic downtown, a tub wall is the same hurdle. You lift one foot over, then the other, and hold on to whatever is close. A walk-in shower in that spot turns all of that into a single, easy step into the shower.
In a Vero Beach home, the conversion takes out the tub and sets a low-threshold Jacuzzi® shower in its place. You decide the wall type and color, the base type and color, and which fixture color you like. If you want them, you can add a seat, shelves or grab bars. The work stays in the wet area, the space where the tub was. In Vero Beach, the work includes three shower replacements. A 2024 one has Alabaster walls in a herringbone pattern, Matte Black fixtures and an open entry with no door. Another from 2024 pairs smooth Platinum walls and Brushed Nickel fixtures with a teak seat. A 2025 one has smooth Champagne walls and Brushed Nickel fixtures.
Vero Beach is the county seat of Indian River County, and its median age is 55.6 years. Castaway Cove is a gated barrier island community here, and Ocean Drive on the barrier island has shops. Riverside Park is a Vero Beach park, and South Beach is one of its public beaches. They tell you about the town, but not about your tub. For your own job, look at the tub space, think about who uses it, and decide if a seat or a bar to hold would help.
Cost is answered in more detail on its own page below. In short, there is no set price, since every shower is quoted in the home. It depends on the size and layout of the space, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish and extras like a seat. The free quote takes in the product and the installation.
It starts with a call to Love Your Bath to book a free design visit, with all homeowners present. A designer comes to the house, takes in what you want, and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. From there, the colors, finishes and safety features are yours to pick. Then the install is scheduled, and it can take as little as one day; some installs take a second day, rarely. When the crew leaves, you have a new shower where the tub used to be.
From then on, getting into the shower is a step, not a balancing act. Leora C. wrote that they expected a wait, and then: "To our surprise they called us sooner and said they were available to do it sooner." Cathy S. wrote, "Salesperson was personable and caring."
Common questions about tub-to-shower conversion in Vero Beach
What people in Vero Beach say
"Had a Garden Tub to Walk in shower conversion . Tristan was the installer. He did this 2 day job by himself . I was very impressed with his skills during demo and install in a 3rd floor condo incased in concrete. He had to break out the jack hammer to complete the drain. Once completed the Shower is awesome. Thank you Paul G"
"Salesperson was personable and caring. Installers were efficient and cleaned up after themselves. Install took only one day"
"kevin and tyler did a great job with my install, will definitely tell all of my friends!"
"We wanted to change out our bathtub and opted to redo the tub, fixtures and wall. We were told that there was a few months wait (possibly). To our surprise they called us sooner and said they were available to do it sooner. Tyler and Kevin (and crew) came in the morning and were done by mid-afternoon. They were fast, efficient, and personable. The finished product looked great! We are very pleased with the work."
"Love this Company! They are very honest. Taz and Tyler will work with you on the design to get exactly what you want. They will make it a reality. Very happy with this company."
"Our Installer, Tristan, did an excellent job. Our new shower looks great! He left the bathroom cleaner than when he started and was careful not to leave any sign that half the bathroom had been ripped out to install the new shower. In the end, this was on the higher end of the quotes we got but, we are confident it was also the highest quality install."
