Disadvantages of a walk-in tub? The honest answer
A straight look at the downsides of walk-in tubs for Vero Beach, FL homeowners, before you decide anything.
You like the idea of a walk-in tub, but you have read that you sit inside while it fills and stay there while it drains. That is a fair worry. If you live in Vero Beach and are not sure a walk-in tub is right for you, this page gives you the plain truth about the downsides and how to decide.
The downside you read about is real. A walk-in tub has a door that seals shut, so you get in first and the water rises around you. When you finish, you stay seated until the tub drains. The water can cool while you wait. That is the trade for a low step in and a built-in seat. Quick drain and heated air are options you can ask about.
Fit and features matter too. What the job comes to depends on the tub size and on the accessibility and wellness features you choose, like water jets, heated air or quick drain. Every bathroom is quoted in the home, because no two are alike. The free quote includes the product and the installation. Installs take In as little as One Day, and some take a second day, rarely.
This week, think about how you bathe today. Do you soak, or do you mostly shower? When you compare models, ask each one about fill and drain speed. If you mostly shower, a walk-in shower may suit you better. Love Your Bath has replaced three showers in Vero Beach, one with a teak seat. Our designer will come to your home and tell you honestly which choice fits how you use your bathroom. It is fine to hear "you may not need a tub."
Once you pick the right one, bathing gets easier. You step in instead of climbing over a wall, and you have a seat and grab bars. Sarah F. wrote in a Google review: "Exceptional professionals that went the extra mile to ensure I was truly happy with my new walkin tub." That is the goal, a bath you feel good about.
