Walk-In Showers in Cocoa Beach: Easy In, Easy to Keep Clean

Living in Cocoa Beach, you might come home from a walk on the Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier or a stop on Main Street and wish your shower were simpler to step into. Maybe the tub wall is getting tall for your knees, or the grout never looks clean. A walk-in shower fixes both, and it fits into the space you already have.

In a Cocoa Beach home, a walk-in shower replaces an old tub or a tired stall with a Jacuzzi® shower you can walk straight into. Getting in means a low step or a barrier-free threshold. You can choose a built-in seat and grab bars wherever you need them. The wall systems are grout-free with an antimicrobial surface that helps reduce mold and mildew buildup, so cleaning is a wipe-down. You choose the wall type and color, base and base color, and fixture colors. Three jobs have been done in Cocoa Beach: two shower replacements and a bathtub replacement. The bathtub job, from 2023, has smooth Midnight Storm walls, Chrome fixtures and an open entry with no door.

Cocoa Beach is a Space Coast city that grew fast in the 1950s and 1960s, as people moved there for space program jobs. SR A1A is the main road through town. None of that tells you what your own bathroom needs, though. To find out, check a few things at home. How tall is the side you step over now? Do you shower standing, or would you sit if you could? Which wall would you reach for when you step in?

Every shower and tub is quoted in the home, since no two bathrooms match. The price depends on the size and layout of the space, whether it starts as a shower or a bathtub, and your picks: the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. That free number covers the shower itself and putting it in. Only the wet area is part of the work.

It begins with a phone call. Next, a designer from Love Your Bath comes out, listens to how you use the bathroom, and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. Every homeowner on the Cocoa Beach property is asked to sit in. You then pick your colors, finishes and safety features. On install day, the old shower or tub comes out and the new walk-in shower goes in, in as little as one day for many jobs, with some taking a second day.

When it is done, you step in instead of over. You sit if you like, hold on if you need to, and wipe the smooth walls down instead of scrubbing grout. The bathroom around it looks just as it did before. Preston wrote that the company took "the time to listen to find out exactly what I was looking for."
