Shower-to-Tub Conversion in New Smyrna Beach: What Happens
How a shower-to-tub conversion works for a New Smyrna Beach, FL home, start to finish.
A tub can be the thing a home is missing. You may want a soak after a walk on the Smyrna Dunes Park boardwalks, a place to bathe grandkids, or a selling point for later. Here is what the change involves in New Smyrna Beach.
In New Smyrna Beach, a shower-to-tub conversion takes out your shower and puts in a Jacuzzi® tub with a new wall surround. Whether you live on the mainland, where downtown sits on the west side of the Indian River, or out on the barrier island near the beach, the work stays inside that one wet area. You choose the wall type and color, the base and the fixture finish. We have replaced three showers in New Smyrna Beach. One from 2023 has smooth Crystal Frost walls, Chrome fixtures and a dual bypass door. Another from 2025 has smooth Champagne walls and Brushed Nickel fixtures.
New Smyrna Beach has a median age of 58.3 years. Whatever your age, think about who will use this tub in five or ten years, not only today. If stepping over a tub wall could get harder, ask about grab bars, built-in seating and a slip-resistant surface. If grandkids visit, a tub makes bath time easy. And if you plan to sell, check whether the home has another tub.
Price is set at your home because every bathroom is different. The size and layout of the space, the tub, the base, the wall style and finish, and the fixture finish all count. Add a seat, shelves or grab bars and it goes up. What you get in the quote is the product plus the install. Cost and permits each have a page of their own below.
First, you contact Love Your Bath and pick a time for the design visit. All homeowners are asked to be there. The designer listens to what you want and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. You choose your colors and extras. On install day, the crew removes the shower, sets the tub and finishes the walls. Installs take in as little as one day, with a second day needed rarely. When the work is done, the crew goes over every detail with you.
After that, you have a bath ready at the end of the day. William A. wrote, "I love my new bath and shower so it was better than I expected." Your bathroom keeps its floor and vanity, and gains a tub you picked.
