Walk-In Showers in Naples, FL: What to Expect From Start to Finish

Naples is a popular place to retire. If you came here to stay, the tub you step over today may be the first thing in the house you want gone. A walk-in shower gives you a low step in, a place to sit and bars to hold, without changing the rest of your bathroom.

In Naples, a walk-in shower job looks the same whether you live in Park Shore, Olde Cypress or near Fifth Avenue South. Your current tub or shower is removed from the wet area, and nothing else in the room is touched. A Jacuzzi® shower base and wall system goes in with a low or barrier-free entry. You pick the wall color and pattern, the base, the fixture finish and any seat or grab bars. We have replaced two showers and one bathtub in Naples. The bathtub job from 2024 has smooth Alabaster walls and Brushed Nickel fixtures. One of the showers, from 2025, has Alabaster walls in a herringbone pattern with Chrome fixtures.

A couple of facts about Naples are worth knowing. The city is in Collier County, and that is the only place permits are pulled for these jobs. More than half of Naples residents, 54.9%, were 65 or older at the 2020 census. If you are in that group, or helping a parent who is, check a few things at home. How high is the tub wall? Where would you grab for balance? Would a seat make washing easier? Would you rather have a door, or an open entry you can walk straight through?

Every shower is quoted in your home, because no two bathrooms are the same. The quote depends on the size and layout of the space, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. That free quote covers both the shower itself and putting it in. Floors, vanities and full remodels are not part of the work. The questions below go further into cost and tub removal.

It starts with a call to set up a design visit, and all homeowners are asked to be there. The designer listens to what you want and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. You pick the colors, finishes and safety features. Love Your Bath then schedules the install, which is done mainly by their own crews, and their installers are primarily W-2 employees. At the end, the crew goes over every detail with you.

Once it is done, you walk in instead of climbing, sit when you want to, and find a bar right where you need one. The bathroom fits the way you live now. Jeff A. wrote about a bathtub turned into a walk-in shower, saying "Joselito and his team did an outstanding job."
