New Port Richey Bathroom Remodeling: Swap the Tub or Shower
A plain guide to bathroom remodeling in New Port Richey, FL: what gets done, what drives the price and how the steps go.
Maybe the tub in your New Port Richey home has become a chore to climb into. Or the shower walls never look clean no matter how hard you scrub. From La Villa Gardens to the streets around Sims Park, the goal is a better tub or shower without months of mess.
In New Port Richey, bathroom remodeling usually means one part of the room, the tub or the shower. Jobs include shower replacements, new bathtubs, tub-to-shower and shower-to-tub conversions, walk-in tubs and walk-in showers. Safety pieces like grab bars, a built-in seat or a low entry can be added. The shower surfaces have no grout and are antimicrobial, which helps reduce mold and mildew buildup. We have replaced two showers and one bathtub in New Port Richey. A 2025 shower here has Platinum walls in a tile pattern, Brushed Nickel fixtures and a fold-down seat.
New Port Richey, in Pasco County, is a historic rivertown. The Pithlachascotee River, also called the Cotee, runs through the heart of downtown on its way to the Gulf. The city has a humid subtropical climate. For your own bathroom, check a few things: how high the step into the tub feels, where your hand reaches for support, and how long the walls take to clean.
No two bathrooms are the same, so each tub and shower is quoted in the home. The price follows your choices and your space: how big the shower or tub area is and how it is laid out, a shower or a bathtub, the base, the wall style and finish, and the fixture finish. Extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars count. For a walk-in tub, so do the tub size and the accessibility and wellness features. The quote includes product and installation, and the cost question below goes deeper.
It starts with a call to set up a design visit, and all homeowners are asked to be there. The designer listens, then puts together a custom plan with options and a free quote. Gail K. wrote that Derrick Pemberton "spent the time to answer all of our questions." You pick your colors and finishes. On install day, Love Your Bath's own crews mainly do the work, and when they finish they go over every detail with you.
When it is done, the part of the bathroom that bugged you every morning is handled. The floor and vanity look the same, the new tub or shower fits how you live, and the questions still on your mind have their own pages below.
