Bathroom Remodeling in Venice, One Tub or Shower at a Time
How tub and shower replacement works for a Venice, FL home: what changes, what stays and how the visit goes.
If you are looking from Venice, the reason is probably close to home. Maybe the shower has old glass doors you are tired of scrubbing, or getting over the tub wall has turned into a climb. You want that one spot fixed without turning the whole bathroom upside down.
In Venice, bathroom remodeling of this kind covers the wet area only. The old tub or shower comes out, and a Jacuzzi® shower or bath system goes in. You can swap a tub for a shower, a shower for a tub, or put in a walk-in shower with an easier step in. One Venice customer, Jim K. described the removal of an old tiled shower with glass doors and the install of "white acrylic 3 walls + floor pan + accessories." Three showers in Venice have been replaced so far. Your floor and vanity stay put.
Venice calls itself the City on the Gulf, and planner John Nolen mapped out its streets. Its median resident age is 69.8 years, with a significant retiree and snowbird population. That is a fact about the town, not a rule about you. Ask yourself what you need from your bath: a seat, grab bars, a lower step in, or just a fresh look.
No two bathrooms are alike, so every tub and shower is priced in the home. The price depends on the size and layout of your space, a shower or a bathtub, the base, the wall style and finish, the fixture finish, and extras like a seat, shelves or grab bars. Installs take as little as one day, and a second day is rare. The cost question and the one-day question each have their own page below.
First, you call and set a time. A designer from Love Your Bath visits, listens to what you want and builds a custom plan with options and a free quote. All homeowners are asked to join that visit. You choose the colors, finishes and safety features. On the install date, the crew removes the old unit and puts in the new one, then goes over every detail with you before they leave.
When it is finished, the shower or tub you dreaded is gone. In its place is one you picked, in colors you chose, with the safety features you wanted. The rest of the bathroom looks just as it did, only now the part you use most feels new.
